Before he was a Champion, he was a Junior Champion! One of Steves Earliest achievements was his rewards recieved at World Rowing Champion Jr. Competitions. There was 2 rewards steve recieved: in 1979 he participated and then in 1980 he won a Silver medal in double skulls!
$21000 British Dollar Tv Reward
In 2007 Dr Steven Redgrave and fellow Olympics Rower Ann Redgrave played quiz on "Who wants to have a million dollars?" and they were rewarded with $1000 Britsh dollars for their efforts on the show unfortunately not winning one million dollars. Then 5 years later Steve got closer to his goal of One Million Dollar when he reappeared on the show 2017 this time accompanied by Rugby Star Zak Redgrave and after answering many questions they were rewarded this time with $20000 in british money.
Official Olympics Torch Holder
After his show of Olympic Championship Steve was invited to bring the torch to the olympics twice! Once in 2008 and another time in 2012. He successfully completed his parts of the "Torch Relay" without dropping the torch or letting the fire go out and graciously passed the firey torch to young athletes of tomorrow.

BBC has rewarded Steve in the year 2000 for his amazing personality! And we couldnt agree more, Steve is such a kind and humble man its confusing why he hasnt won every year since the year 2000??
